Indian embassy passport services go online after April 25

Embassy of India, Qatar, has announced that it’s stopping to receive applications of various passport-related services in the “old format” as part of the services’ integration with the Passport Seva Project.

“Passport/PCC/EC applications in the old format will be accepted by the Embassy only till 25 April 2019,” the embassy said.

The embassy announced this on its Twitter page Monday evening.

Here’s the full text:

“The passport issuance system in the Embassy of India, Qatar, is being integrated with the Passport Seva Project for Passport/PCC/EC services. As part of this, the online application forms for passport services have been revised & online applications for PCC & EC have also been introduced. Hence, Passport/PCC/EC applications in the old format will be accepted by the Embassy only till 25 April 2019. Thereafter, applicants are requested to apply for these services online in the new format only. The link for the correct format of the new forms is https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in.”

The embassy had earlier said on its website:

As part of worldwide implementation of the Passport Seva Project, the Global Passport Seva Program has been rolled out in Qatar. Members of the Indian Community in Qatar are advised to use the new portal https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in for availing the Passport Services with effect from April 19, 2019.

Steps to apply for Passport Services online at https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in :-

Step 1: Click on Qatar, Create USER ID by clicking on Register link

Step 2: Login using the USER ID and fill the application form online

Step 3: Submit the form online

Step 5: Affix your recent coloured photograph (white background with size 2” X 2“) at the designated place
